Note: The ROM is undergoing nightly updates at this moment, as so there could be some issues. These of course will be fixed with further updates. Don’t forget that this is not an official ROM and you do have to take great care if you are updating.
You do need to check that you have the international version and make sure the USB drivers are installed on your computer and USB debugging has been enabled on the device.
You should also backup your device and you will need ClockworkMod installed.
You will have to download the CM 10.1 ROM and at the same time Google apps.
To install Jelly Bean update on your handset follow the steps which are outlined below.
Step 1: Connect your Samsung Galaxy S3 to your computer via micro USB cable.
Step 2: Copy and paste the downloaded CM10.1 M3 Android 4.2.2 ROM to your Samsung Galaxy S3 (latest version available on official CyanogenMod website).
Step 3: Turn off your phone and detach the USB cable with your Computer.
Step 4: Press and hold the Power + Volume Up + Home Button to enter ClockworkMod Recovery.
Step 5: In Recovery menu, you are always recommended to perform a full Wipe Data/Factory Reset to avoid crashing and ROM compatibility issues. It is an optional step if you upgrade from your previous ROM version. For CWM recovery, use Volume key to navigate in Recovery Mode. For TWRP, use touchscreen to navigate in Recovery Mode.
Step 6: Do Wipe Cache Partition – Select from the menu and select Yes to confirm.
Step 7: Go to advanced and do Wipe Dalvik Cache – Select from the menu and select Yes to confirm.
Step 8: From the main menu in Recovery, select the install zip from SD card, then select choose zip from internal SD card, browse to folder location and select the CM10.1 M3 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ROM and click Yes to install.
Step 9: Back to main menu in Recovery, select the install zip from SD card, then select choose zip from internal SD card, browse to folder location and select the Google Apps file and click Yes to install.
Step 10: After the installation completes, go back to recovery main menu.
Step 11: Select reboot system now to reboot the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Step 12. For first boot up, it normally take the Samsung Galaxy S3 a longer time. Please wait patiently until your phone come back normal position.

Repair IMEI lost error of Huawei and ZTE Modem Free

Yesterday I had written article about Repair lost IMEI of ZTE modem by ZTE Qualcomm Writer. ZTE Qualcomm Writer software has been made by DC unlocker team and you might already know that DC unlocker does not provide anything for free. Repair IMEI lost error of huawei and ZTE modem free.

Why IMEI lost problem comes ?

Some Huawei and ZTE modems comes with un-customized firmware and can be unlocked easily with unlock code only.
But, some Huawei and ZTE modems comes with customized firmwares and it can not be unlocked without flashing the firmware.
Now users who want to use his modem with another network provider sim for them there is no choice now, he has to flash his modem to unlock the modem to able to use another network sim.
If you are using correct firmware to flash the modem then modem will be successfully unlocked using firmware flashing method.
But, if you are using the corrupt or incompatible firmware or during the firmware flashing process if power supply fails then modem loss the IMEI.
Some time if during firmware update power fails then modem becomes dead forever.
If you are so lucky and you lost your IMEI only, then modem can be repaired with software only.

How to repair IMEI lost modem free (ZTE or Huawei) ?

First download the Free “NV items reader writer software ” from the download link which is provided at the end of the article.
Now extract in a folder using winrar software.
Now run NV items reader writer tool.

Now disconnect from the internet and close the software of zte / Huawei modem.
Now click on “Port” drop down and select the correct COM port of your modem. (To get the correct COM port of your ZTE / Huawei modem follow this guide.)
After selecting the correct COM port click on connect menu.
Now your modem will be connected to NV items reader writer software.
Now click on read button to read the NV memory of the modem.

In reading the firmware of modem, NV Items reader writer v1.0 software will take around 5 minutes.
Now it will give you option for saving in PC.
Save the NV backup of your Huawei / ZTE modem in PC with any name.
Now you have successfully taken the backup of NV Item of your modem.
Now you can flash the modem with any firmware.
If gets failed in firmware updating and your modem IMEI lost then you can again write the firmware using NV Items reader writer tool.

Note I:- If PC detects the modem then only your Huawei or ZTE modems can be repaired with NV Items reader writer software or above process. If your modem / dongle is not detected by PC then only through Jtag device you can repair your ZTE or Huawei modem.
Note II :- In NV Item of modem IMEI information is saved. So, when you write it back to your modem then modem IMEI gets written successfully back to your modem.
Note III :- Don’t use any another modem NV Item to repair your modem. In this process your modem IMEI will be changed and network provider can blacklist your IMEI.
So, be careful before processing through above process.

Download and extract the zip files from the links above.
Insert your modem into the USB Port of your computer.
Make sure no program is using the modem.
Open Huawei e173 update folder and double click on (E173Update_11.126.85.00.114_B427)

Accept the terms and conditions for e173 updater and click Next
The e173 firmware updater window will now start searching for device.

When you click next after a device has been detected a warning window appears.
If you are prompted to enter a password, start the huawei modem unlocker

Type in the IEMI number of your e 173 modem and click generate
You will get two codes in the box one is unlock code and the other is flash code.
Copy the 8 digit flash code, marked with red ellipse, this 8 digit flash code is the password for the e 173 updater.
Now you can enter this password and and update your firmware to an unlocked version.

If the updater does not ask for a password, you may be asked to enter unlock code if you try to connect to the internet later. Use the unlock code, marked with green ellipse.

You might already know that most of locked modems always provide us to enter Unlocking Code upto 10 attempts. If those attempts are run out because you were trying to unlock your modem with wrong unlock codes. But, if your modem manufacture is Huawei, then you have a still chance to unlock your modem after resetting the unlock codes. You might already heard about Bojs huawei modem unlocking tool, the tool which has been made by Bojs can not only unlock your Huawei modem but it can also reset the unlock code of your modem. Huawei modem unlocker tool can reset the unlocking counter of Huawei modem from 0 to 10 attempts with the following guide.

If you have the unlock code, you can unlock the phone by following ways -

If you Notice that your phone is displaying: SIM network unlock PIN Or Enter Network Lock Control Key on your phones screen then -

Type your unique Network unlock code (NCK). And Click Unlock.
If you get a message saying Unsuccessful, this means you have been tried too many failed attempts to enter the unlock code.
If this happens, Please reset your phone by typing *2767*3855# and wait until the phone has restarted

Warning: All data will be erased from your phone.

Now you can try again by Type your unique Unfreeze code (MCK) into the SIM network unlock PIN screen.
You will get another message saying Unsuccessful, but don’t worry—this is fine.
Now type your unique Network unlock code (NCK) and click Unlock.

If the phone display: the Network lock screen:

At this point you should be prompted for your Network unlock code (NCK).
Type the code and the phone will be unlocked.

If you see: Invalid SIM card screen

Type the following. Replace Network (NCK) with your actual code:

#0111*Network (NCK)#

If the phone display: the Phone freeze screen:Then you have to do this following works bellow:-

1 If you get the Phone freeze message, it means there have been too many failed attempts to enter the unlock code. However, you can still unlock the phone using the Unfreeze code (MCK).

2 If your phone has a physical keypad, type the Unfreeze code (MCK) into the Phone freeze screen. Nothing will show up—this is fine. If nothing happens, you can try hitting # or the Call key after entering the code.

3 If your phone has only a touch screen, tap Call on the Phone freeze screen and then enter your Unfreeze code (MCK).

4 Once phone freeze is disabled, Network lock or SP lock screen will appear. Follow the directions for Network lock or SP lock to unlock your phone.

If the phone display: the Phone locked. Return for service screen:Then you have to do this following works bellow:-

Type the following. Replace Unfreeze (MCK) with your actual code:

#0199*Unfreeze (MCK)#

If the phone display: the SP lock screen Then you have to do this following works bellow:-

At this point you should be prompted for your SPCK code.

Type the code and the phone will be unlocked.

If the phone display: the SIM password screen Then you have to do this following works bellow:-

Enter your Unfreeze code (MCK) at the prompt.

If the phone display: the SIM lock – Enter password screenThen you have to do this following works bellow:-

Type the following. Replace Unfreeze (MCK) with your actual code:

#0149*Unfreeze (MCK)#

If you see: Network unlock PIN number is entered incorrectly. Contact your Service Provider screenThen you have to do this following works bellow:-

Power on the phone without SIM card. And Dial #7465625638#

Type your unique Unfreeze code (MCK)

You will get another message saying Unsuccessful, but don’t worry—this is fine.
